The Hingham Boys & Girls had spectacular performances at the MIAA Division II Track & Field Championship here at HHS on May 27 and May 29.  Results can be found HERE.

The Boys finished third overall with 56 points.

The Girls finished sixth overall with 37 points. 

Multiple Hingham athletes made the podium.    

Avery Warshaw won three State Championships -- the Triple Jump (44 feet, 8 inches), the Long Jump (22 feet, 1 inch), and the High Jump (6 feet, 4 inches).  As Brendan Connelly of the Boston Herald tweeted, “Talk about an incredible feat for the senior!”

Thomas Shetzline also was a State Champion as he won the 400m Hurdles with a time of 56.13.  He also finished third in the Triple Jump (42 feet, 5 3/4 inches)

The girls 4x400 team of Margaret Lowther, Maureen Koenen, Sarah Kelly, and Kelsey Tarby finished second with a time of 4:07.98.

Emma Mills finished third in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 14.98.

The girls 4x100 team of Emma Mills, Katherine Mulflur, Katherine Van Buskirk, and Francesca Candelieri placed third in a time of 50.83.

Kelsey Tarby finished third in the 400m with a time of 1:00.35.

Margaret Lowther finished fourth in the 400m with a time of 1:00.43

Maureen Koenen finished fourth in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 1:06.63.

Jared Salem finished fifth in the 110m Hurdles with a time of 15.32.

Brendan O’Horo finished fifth in the Pole Vault with a vault of 10 feet.

The boys 4x400 team of Sam Benham, Thomas Healey, Griffin Coppola, and Bryce Botelho finished seventh with a time of 3:33.37.

Elizabeth Blackwood finished eight in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 16.82.

Congratulations to everyone who competed!  You made Hingham proud!
